Au Bon Climat Chardonnay Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Santa Ynez Valley 2022The first "great" vineyard in Santa Barbara County was planted by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict in 1971, first with Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling, then later with Pinot Noir vines from Karl Wente. The Burgundian varieties had found a home in Santa Barbara County. With a mantle of hard, siliceous chert gravel covering deep, well drained soils, it is a perfect medium for Pinot and Chardonnay. The legs are very well built and good looking, however, the screws included for installation are only 9/16" long which is not nearly enough for table legs of this size. I installed the legs on a 30" x 83" live edge oak tabletop that is full 2" thick. I purchased 1 1/4" screws for the install making the table very solid.
