Fender Shim KitFord used a Paper Cardboard Shim Spacer on the 1980 97 F Series and Broncos where the top of the front fenders bolt to the cab. We've found the original spacers on most trucks to be falling apart or missing altogether. This can cause many issues, including but not limited to poor body panel alignment and or a loud "popping or clunking noise" when driving in and out of driveways.
