It really moisturized my daughter's hair, but did not make it greasy. I think it works better if you get as much water off of the hair before you add in the conditioner. I shake my daughter's hair out and dry it a bit with a towel before adding in the conditioner. Then I let it sit on her hair for a bit before rinsing it out.
